mPark Helper App

mPark Helper is a Windows Phone 7 application that allows you to utilize the Dubai mPark service directly from your Windows Phone. The RTA mPark service allows users to charge and re-charge their parking ticket via SMS. If a car was parked in any of the paid parking zones, the cars’ plate number, together with the parking zone number and the requested parking time has to be sent to a phone number via SMS.

The Challenge

Since this process can be quite cumbersome, especially if you don’t know the zone number or forgot how to construct the messages, Prototype developed the mPark Helper application that assists users with the same.

The application first prompts you to enter your Dubai registered vehicle plate number. The next step is to enter the zone number which is found on the parking meters. Here the user can also save zone numbers or re-load zone numbers from his favorite parking places. The last step is to select the duration of the desired parking time and submit to the mParking service number. The application also allows extending your parking time by one hour at a time.
